Specialty gift items and “gift-baskets” information is available upon request tel.+255(0)744 078009 The Bamboo WOMEN Group owes its origin to a Vocational Program offered in Njombe,a small village in Iringa Province.There the Tanzanian Government hired several Japanese Instructors to teach African Women various bamboo-making techniques over a two year period. After program completion they moved to the Soweto area in Mbeya town and begun making bamboo products. Today their small workshop is located in the Mwakibete area ,outside Mbeya town.
